Lara Goodman received her BFA from Bard College and her MFAed from MassArt. She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem.
Middle Art Program:
Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these. Please provide water and snack daily.
Elementary Art Program:
Students will work with a variety of materials including watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, non-hardening clay, and more. We will create work inspired by master artists, musicians and authors and our own imaginations. Please provide water and snack daily.
