Cursive
Want your kids to be able to sign their name in cursive? Are your kids curious about learning to read cursive? OTCursiveAdvantage's Cursive Writing Program uses a hands-on, kinesthetic approach to learning how to read and write in cursive.

OTCursiveAdvantage was created by an occupational therapist to teach cursive writing using a program created by another occupational therapist.  It is fun and adaptable to all learning styles.  Each participant will receive their own workbook that they can take home with them at the end.  The program will engage gross (large) motor tasks to warm up followed by fine motor dexterity warm ups for the fingers to prepare for cursive writing.  Proper sitting postures and grasping patterns will be taught as well.  Various OT techniques to maintain an optimal level of energy throughout the cursive learning process will be introduced.  In this class we will progress through each letter as each participant is ready.  The goal is to love cursive writing while learning to write and read it.  The course will finish with learning how to write a thank you note in cursive, address the envelope, stamp and mail it to the person who signed them up for the class.
