Fused Glass
Students in this class will learn the ancient art of glass fusing. This class requires no prior experience and is ideal for students who are curious about trying a new art form and love working with their hands. Students will be taught through demonstrations and hands-on instruction about different methods for cutting, working with and arranging glass. They’ll learn about the types and properties of glass, what the firing process entails, and the basic building blocks of working with glass. Students will make projects including pendants, coasters/suncatchers, bowls, clocks and more! All materials and tools needed for the class are provided and included in the cost.

Instructor
Anya Ciarametaro has been working with glass since 2012 after falling in love with the art form at Salem State University. After pursuing a minor in 3-Dimensional Art in order to take every glass class possible, she went on to teach glassblowing to tweens at Camp Chateaugay in upstate New York. After 10 years of extracurricular education development brought her back to working with glass, she now is a glass teacher and program director with North Shore Glass School in Salem, MA. Anya lives with her husband, daughter, and what she likes to describe as a "small zoo" of dogs (and one very-much-in-charge cat) in Rowley, Massachusetts, and is elated to be able to teach anyone and everyone to fall in love with glass just as she did.
