Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences, the recommended entry-level golf program for PGA Junior Golf Camps. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit the ball and experience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching and full swing, are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions and learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids to remember and repeat. Specially designed, age-appropriate golf equipment is provided.Participants may NOT bring any equipment.  Participants should bring multiple water bottles, two snacks, sunscreen and wear appropriate athletic attire.Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.

Calling all budding artists and crafters! We are excited to have Donna Cohen back as our preschool Arts & Crafts instructor this summer. She will integrate literacy, music, and dance into her instruction, bringing all the excitement and all of the fun! Your little ones are sure to have a blast in this SUMMER themed Arts & Crafts program.This program is for children ages 3-5. Program will run Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, at Clarke Elementary School in Swampscott.Here's what Ms. Cohen has to say:"I am very excited to be doing Arts & Crafts this summer with Swampscott’s Rec Department. It will be a lot of fun! I worked as the Arts & Crafts Specialist at the JCC’s Kindercamp for many years. I currently teach in Salem at the Early Childhood Center Preschool. My background: I grew up in Swampscott, attended Swampscott High School, and lettered in field hockey, basketball, and softball. I also developed a love for Arts & Crafts. I am a Syracuse University alum. Currently, I am the Swampscott Middle School field hockey coach and I also teach Sunday School at Temple B’Nai Abraham in Beverly. I tutor at the Sylvan Learning Centers in Danvers, too! In my spare time I enjoy painting, gardening, going to the beach and bicycling. I live in Swampscott with my cat Myles."

Whether you're new to block-based coding or have some coding experience under your belt, this workshop welcomes coders of all skill levels. Basic computer skills are required. Bring your curiosity and let your imagination run wild as you dive into the exciting world of video game design!

Does your child love hiking and/or learning about nature and want to explore this summer? Then Swampscott Nature Camp is a great opportunity to learn about different species in our community, go on nature outings around the town, and even learn how to make small shelters! Our camp will include time for playing games, looking for different animals and plants, time for lunch and snacks, and learning how we can support the nature around us.  Students should bring a water bottle, snack, lunch, and sunscreen/bug spray daily. 
 
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM    SLIME WEEK with Fun4All - Slime Week 1 - Grades 1-6
It’s slime time as we spend a week with students to create new slime recipes that are only limited to your imagination! Our popular Slime Week teaches students the basics of how to make their own slime, and then shows students some of the most popular and trending slime recipes. Some of the slime is even edible! Our coordinators show students the latest slime tips and tricks and encourage creative thinking and working with friends. Students can customize their own slime by adding colors, scents, and textures. Once the slime is made, students can mold and play with their new creations. Slime Week lets kids get their hands dirty and have fun, but leaves the mess in the classroom and out of the car and home!Students should bring a lunch, snack, and a water bottle daily. Food must be nut-free.

Join Deb and Stacey for Yoga on Eisman's Beach!Savor the beach sounds of summer while stretching and strengthening.  Treat yourself to the ultimate studio view of big blue waves and nature at its best while breathing and moving.    All bodies welcome!  If you can breath, you can do yoga.    Park behind the football field (Bondelevitch Drive/beside the Bertram House) Walk the path to the beach, crossing Puritan Road.  Bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Water and sweater suggested. In case of rain class will be held on ZOOM

Join us Saturday, June 28th for Swampscott's Town Wide Yard Sale! We will have  households set up to sell on Swampscott Town Hall Lawn (22 Monument Ave) and residences set up selling all around town. Electronic versions and hard copies of the maps will be available starting June 26th.Interested in signing up to be a seller? The cost is $20 and you received:- Yard Sale Pemit- Yard Sale Sign- Address included on the Town Wide Map for heightened visibility. This time honored program provides fun, supervised, outdoor activities led by our energetic Summer Park League staff.  These quality recreational experiences promote healthy living and character building through dynamic and collaborative play.Some of our many activities include organized sports, arts and crafts and creative playground games.  Campers enjoy weekly themes including Carnival,  Beach and Super Hero Week, Pirate Day and Fun Friday celebrations.  Kids are grouped by age and groups are led by at least 2 Park Leaders.Park Director- Terri Gadman

Due to the nature of this program, we are unable to prorate on a week-to-week basis. To participate in Park League, you must register your child(ren) for the full 6-week program, whether or not they will attend all weeks/days. If you're looking for a childcare option with more hours, consider our Park League Rain or Shine program, which may be purchased on a week-to-week basis. Rec Center membership has big perks!  Enjoy daily, rain-or-shine access to our new and improved Middle School Recreation Center which is equipped with tons of arts and crafts, ping-pong, board games, video games, karaoke and unlimited access to basketball and four square.  Daily outdoor activities ranging from wiffle ball, flag football, soccer, capture the flag and dodgeball will be lead by Recreation Park Leaders.  Rec Center members will enjoy ice cream sundae bar and popsicles over the course of the program.Rec Center is being supervised this summer by Swampscott Public Schools employee and JV basketball coach, Temi - always a favorite with our youth!

Calling all budding artists and crafters! We are excited to have Donna Cohen back as our preschool Arts & Crafts instructor this summer. She will integrate literacy, music, and dance into her instruction, bringing all the excitement and all of the fun! Your little ones are sure to have a blast in this SUMMER themed Arts & Crafts program.This program is for children ages 3-5. Program will run Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, at Clarke Elementary School in Swampscott.Here's what Ms. Cohen has to say:"I am very excited to be doing Arts & Crafts this summer with Swampscott’s Rec Department. It will be a lot of fun! I worked as the Arts & Crafts Specialist at the JCC’s Kindercamp for many years. I currently teach in Salem at the Early Childhood Center Preschool. My background: I grew up in Swampscott, attended Swampscott High School, and lettered in field hockey, basketball, and softball. I also developed a love for Arts & Crafts. I am a Syracuse University alum. Currently, I am the Swampscott Middle School field hockey coach and I also teach Sunday School at Temple B’Nai Abraham in Beverly. I tutor at the Sylvan Learning Centers in Danvers, too! In my spare time I enjoy painting, gardening, going to the beach and bicycling. I live in Swampscott with my cat Myles."

Taught by Lara GoodmanLara Goodman received her BFA from Bard College and her MFAed from MassArt. She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem. Middle School Art Program:Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these. Please provide water and snack daily.Elementary School Art Program:Students will work with a variety of materials including watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, non-hardening clay, and more. We will create work inspired by master artists, musicians and authors and our own imaginations. Please provide water and snack daily.

If you have a budding chef who is serious about learning the basics in a fun environment, this is for them! Summer Youth Cooking for Grades 5 and upThis class will be taught by Lara Goodman This engaging 3-hour class is designed for older students who are interested in cooking...and eating! This class is designed for kids who are serious about making good food, utilizing many typical tools and appliances. We’ll create a savory dish, and a sweet treat.

Taught by Lara GoodmanLara Goodman received her BFA from Bard College and her MFAed from MassArt. She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem. Middle School Art Program:Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these. Please provide water and snack daily.Elementary School Art Program:Students will work with a variety of materials including watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, non-hardening clay, and more. We will create work inspired by master artists, musicians and authors and our own imaginations. Please provide water and snack daily.

Summer Youth Cooking Clinic for Grades 2-5This class will be taught by Lara GoodmanThis interactive, 3-hour fun and engaging cooking experience will teach the basics while creating an age-appropriate meal--a savory lunch dish and a sweet treat. If you have a budding chef who is serious about learning the basics in a fun environment, this is for them! Summer Youth Cooking for Grades 5 and upThis class will be taught by Lara Goodman This engaging 3-hour class is designed for older students who are interested in cooking...and eating! This class is designed for kids who are serious about making good food, utilizing many typical tools and appliances. We’ll create a savory dish, and a sweet treat.
 
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Boys Basketball Clinic - Boys Basketball Clinic
Directed by Chris Balliro. Chris played basketball at Swampscott High School. He was Northeast Conference MVP for his junior and senior years in High School. He went on to play Division 1 basketball at Stonybrook University then played professionally for 14 years in Europe.Boys Basketball Skills & Drills The clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills to help each player reach their ultimate potential. We will work on individual skills and team concepts in a fun and positive atmosphere. Drills are designed for all skill levels to benefit – from beginner up.  Open boys entering grades 4-8.

To participate in Park League, you must register your child(ren) for the full 6-week program, whether or not they will attend all weeks/days. Your child will love spending their summer outdoors with us! Calling all budding artists and crafters! We are excited to have Donna Cohen back as our preschool Arts & Crafts instructor this summer. She will integrate literacy, music, and dance into her instruction, bringing all the excitement and all of the fun! Your little ones are sure to have a blast in this SUMMER themed Arts & Crafts program.This program is for children ages 3-5. Program will run Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, at Clarke Elementary School in Swampscott.Here's what Ms. Cohen has to say:"I am very excited to be doing Arts & Crafts this summer with Swampscott’s Rec Department. It will be a lot of fun! I worked as the Arts & Crafts Specialist at the JCC’s Kindercamp for many years. I currently teach in Salem at the Early Childhood Center Preschool. My background: I grew up in Swampscott, attended Swampscott High School, and lettered in field hockey, basketball, and softball. I also developed a love for Arts & Crafts. I am a Syracuse University alum. Currently, I am the Swampscott Middle School field hockey coach and I also teach Sunday School at Temple B’Nai Abraham in Beverly. I tutor at the Sylvan Learning Centers in Danvers, too! In my spare time I enjoy painting, gardening, going to the beach and bicycling. I live in Swampscott with my cat Myles."

Rec Center membership has big perks!  Enjoy daily, rain-or-shine access to our new and improved Middle School Recreation Center which is equipped with tons of arts and crafts, ping-pong, board games, video games, karaoke and unlimited access to basketball and four square.  Daily outdoor activities ranging from wiffle ball, flag football, soccer, capture the flag and dodgeball will be lead by Recreation Park Leaders.  Rec Center members will enjoy ice cream sundae bar and popsicles over the course of the program.Rec Center is being supervised this summer by Swampscott Public Schools employee and JV basketball coach, Temi - always a favorite with our youth!

Directed by Chris Balliro. Chris played basketball at Swampscott High School. He was Northeast Conference MVP for his junior and senior years in High School. He went on to play Division 1 basketball at Stonybrook University then played professionally for 14 years in Europe.Boys Basketball Skills & Drills The clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills to help each player reach their ultimate potential. We will work on individual skills and team concepts in a fun and positive atmosphere. Drills are designed for all skill levels to benefit – from beginner up.  Open boys entering grades 4-8.

Calling all budding artists and crafters! We are excited to have Donna Cohen back as our preschool Arts & Crafts instructor this summer. She will integrate literacy, music, and dance into her instruction, bringing all the excitement and all of the fun! Your little ones are sure to have a blast in this SUMMER themed Arts & Crafts program.This program is for children ages 3-5. Program will run Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, at Clarke Elementary School in Swampscott.Here's what Ms. Cohen has to say:"I am very excited to be doing Arts & Crafts this summer with Swampscott’s Rec Department. It will be a lot of fun! I worked as the Arts & Crafts Specialist at the JCC’s Kindercamp for many years. I currently teach in Salem at the Early Childhood Center Preschool. My background: I grew up in Swampscott, attended Swampscott High School, and lettered in field hockey, basketball, and softball. I also developed a love for Arts & Crafts. I am a Syracuse University alum. Currently, I am the Swampscott Middle School field hockey coach and I also teach Sunday School at Temple B’Nai Abraham in Beverly. Taught by Lara GoodmanLara Goodman received her BFA from Bard College and her MFAed from MassArt. She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem. Middle School Art Program:Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these. Rec Center membership has big perks!  Enjoy daily, rain-or-shine access to our new and improved Middle School Recreation Center which is equipped with tons of arts and crafts, ping-pong, board games, video games, karaoke and unlimited access to basketball and four square.  Daily outdoor activities ranging from wiffle ball, flag football, soccer, capture the flag and dodgeball will be lead by Recreation Park Leaders.  Rec Center members will enjoy ice cream sundae bar and popsicles over the course of the program.Rec Center is being supervised this summer by Swampscott Public Schools employee and JV basketball coach, Temi - always a favorite with our youth!

She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem. Middle School Art Program:Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these. Please provide water and snack daily.Elementary School Art Program:Students will work with a variety of materials including watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, non-hardening clay, and more. Summer Youth Cooking Clinic for Grades 2-5This class will be taught by Lara GoodmanThis interactive, 3-hour fun and engaging cooking experience will teach the basics while creating an age-appropriate meal--a savory lunch dish and a sweet treat. If you have a budding chef who is serious about learning the basics in a fun environment, this is for them! Summer Youth Cooking for Grades 5 and upThis class will be taught by Lara Goodman This engaging 3-hour class is designed for older students who are interested in cooking...and eating! This class is designed for kids who are serious about making good food, utilizing many typical tools and appliances. We’ll create a savory dish, and a sweet treat.

Directed by Chris Balliro. Chris played basketball at Swampscott High School. He was Northeast Conference MVP for his junior and senior years in High School. He went on to play Division 1 basketball at Stonybrook University then played professionally for 14 years in Europe.Boys Basketball Skills & Drills The clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills to help each player reach their ultimate potential. We will work on individual skills and team concepts in a fun and positive atmosphere. Drills are designed for all skill levels to benefit – from beginner up.  Open boys entering grades 4-8.

Summer Youth Cooking Clinic for Grades 2-5This class will be taught by Lara GoodmanThis interactive, 3-hour fun and engaging cooking experience will teach the basics while creating an age-appropriate meal--a savory lunch dish and a sweet treat. If you have a budding chef who is serious about learning the basics in a fun environment, this is for them! Summer Youth Cooking for Grades 5 and upThis class will be taught by Lara Goodman This engaging 3-hour class is designed for older students who are interested in cooking...and eating! This class is designed for kids who are serious about making good food, utilizing many typical tools and appliances. We’ll create a savory dish, and a sweet treat.
 
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Boys Basketball Clinic - Boys Basketball Clinic
Directed by Chris Balliro. Chris played basketball at Swampscott High School. He was Northeast Conference MVP for his junior and senior years in High School. He went on to play Division 1 basketball at Stonybrook University then played professionally for 14 years in Europe.Boys Basketball Skills & Drills The clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills to help each player reach their ultimate potential. We will work on individual skills and team concepts in a fun and positive atmosphere. Drills are designed for all skill levels to benefit – from beginner up.  Open boys entering grades 4-8.

This program is a 4 week program for the beginner as well as returning student. Students will be grouped according to ability and will sail with an instructor if needed.

This time honored program provides fun, supervised, outdoor activities led by our energetic Summer Park League staff.  These quality recreational experiences promote healthy living and character building through dynamic and collaborative play.Some of our many activities include organized sports, arts and crafts and creative playground games.  Campers enjoy weekly themes including Carnival,  Beach and Super Hero Week, Pirate Day and Fun Friday celebrations.  Kids are grouped by age and groups are led by at least 2 Park Leaders.Park Director- Terri Gadman

Due to the nature of this program, we are unable to prorate on a week-to-week basis. To participate in Park League, you must register your child(ren) for the full 6-week program, whether or not they will attend all weeks/days. If you're looking for a childcare option with more hours, consider our Park League Rain or Shine program, which may be purchased on a week-to-week basis. Your child will love spending their summer outdoors with us! This time honored program provides fun, supervised, outdoor activities led by our energetic Park League staff.  Our quality recreational experiences promote healthy living and character building through dynamic and collaborative play.  Some of our many activities this summer will be organized sports, arts and crafts and creative playground-style games.Registration will be a six week program and participants will enjoy weekly themes including Beach Week, Carnival Week, Pirate Week & Tie Dye Week!  Every day will include a rotation of group activities. This time honored program provides fun, supervised, indoor AND outdoor activities led by our energetic Park League staff.  Our quality recreational experiences promote healthy living and character building through dynamic and collaborative play.  Some of our many activities this summer will be organized sports, arts and crafts and creative playground-style games.Registration is for a week-by-week program and participants will enjoy weekly themes (Beach Week, Carnival Week, Camping Week, etc) that align with our elementary school Park League program. Every day will include a rotation of indoor and outdoor activities. Preschool Park League registrants will be kept separate from the elementary school Park League registrants    Please understand that the safety of your children, your family and our staff are of the utmost importance and we are committed to balancing these needs with our belief that organized summer youth activities provide vital social opportunities for your children to be active, form new friendships and make memories.

Rec Center membership has big perks!  Enjoy daily, rain-or-shine access to our new and improved Middle School Recreation Center which is equipped with tons of arts and crafts, ping-pong, board games, video games, karaoke and unlimited access to basketball and four square.  Daily outdoor activities ranging from wiffle ball, flag football, soccer, capture the flag and dodgeball will be lead by Recreation Park Leaders.  Rec Center members will enjoy ice cream sundae bar and popsicles over the course of the program.Rec Center is being supervised this summer by Swampscott Public Schools employee and JV basketball coach, Temi - always a favorite with our youth!

Taught by Lara GoodmanLara Goodman received her BFA from Bard College and her MFAed from MassArt. She has taught Marblehead students in grades K through 3, as well as Middle School Art at The Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As an art educator, she is driven to help students access their own visual language through exposure to varied materials, masterworks, literature, and environment. She currently maintains a painting studio 201 Washington St #216 in Salem. Middle School Art Program:Students will be encouraged to pursue their individual artistic interests. All work will be two dimensional. Watercolor, acrylic paint, oil pastels, and charcoal pencils will be available. A daily lesson will demonstrate technique, or feature the work of a Master artist. Students who keep a sketchbook, have favorite materials, or have works in progress, are encouraged, but not required, to bring these.
